Below is a schematic of the process:
UPDATE
- Witek (U Of Iowa) demonstrated the HYDRO-NEXRAD interface to the head of the NSF in the wake of the
Iowa floods. and it was well received. Unidata provided access to archived data to help fill in gaps due to power
and hardware failures to aid in the demonstration.
- Travelled to Iowa City in June to discuss future plans for HYDRO-NEXRAD.
- A one year extension (to be determined early October) and a no-cost extension was agreed upon with the
purpose of using the next year to work on creating HYDRO-NEXRAD products with the high resolution (Build 10) .25
km data. Unidata may be able to leverage some of this effort by making other feeds available via a WMS as we may house the
HYDRO-NEXRAD WMS for future community access.
- Continue to work with the CUAHSI-HIS group to help with implementation of the HYDRO-NEXRAD meta-data products.
