Resources for Creating NOAA Data Managment Plans

In accordance with the NOAA Plan for Increasing Public Access to Research Results (NOAA PARR), released in February 2015, NOAA's Data Sharing Policy for Grants and Cooperative Agreements was revised, with new provisions effective as of the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2016.

All NOAA Grantees must share data produced under NOAA grants and cooperative agreements in a timely fashion, except where limited by law, regulation, policy or security requirements. Grantees must address this requirement formally by preparing a Data Sharing Plan as part of their grant project narrative.
