Alden Electronics proudly announces the distribution of the National Weather Service DIFAX service via the Internet. Alden Electronics, in full cooperation with Unidata, has been working these past few weeks to make this service available to those member universities who subscribe to the Internet Data Distribution System. The IDD system which currently provides the FOS data to the University community is now ready to supply DIFAX. The DIFAX charts will be transmitted in a G3 fax format. The DIFAX service contains all the available DIFAX charts and the charts will be transmitted to the community as soon as they are received by Alden from the NWS. If you require more information of a technical nature, the people at Unidata will be happy to assist you and answer your questions. The questions should be addressed to "support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx".
