Re: [gembud] NCEP NAWIPS Migration

Howdy,

This does sound like an interesting presentation. Would somebody be able
to host it as a webex or similar type online presentation if Brent was
willing to give it again to the community?

I am pretty certain that I could arrange the webex portion of it if 16 or
less people were interested. (I think we are limited to 16 interactive, or
500 people in presentation mode I believe.)

Thanks!
Daniel Fuka

Sounds promising... I'm still very afraid of the Java interface, but if
they
insist it will be at least as good as the current programming language
then
I'll take their word.

Currently it takes 6-12 months for a NCEP release of NAWIPS to be ported
over here (our 5.11.1 was from last November, they've been using 5.11.4
for
2 months), will this new structure be able to reduce that timeframe?

Hello GEMPAK users:

Brent Gordon, NCEP, agreed to share slides from a presentation he made
on 25 September about NCEP's NAWIPS migration project. We hope these
slides will help to enhance understanding of NAWIPS-related changes
