Re: [gembud] Running gdradr on achieved data

The data is located at:
/research/SSRG/radar_data/apr_20_2007/NIDS/ABR/N0R

where:
$RAD = /data/ldm/gempak/nexrad:/research/SSRG/radar_data/apr_20_2007

and I renamed the file to:
N0Z_20070420_1900

Still getting the same results.

 I want to run nex2img on archived level 3 data but am not sure how to do

these
nex2img values:

GRDAREA  = 47.41;-101.47;43.52;-95.44
PROJ     = MER
KXKY     = 1000;1000
CPYFIL   =
GFUNC    = N0R
RADTIM   = 070420/1900
RADDUR   = 60
RADFRQ   =
STNFIL   = SFSTNS.TBL
RADMODE  =
RADFIL   = YYYYMMDD_HHNN.gif
LUTFIL   =
NDVAL    =

The file created is 1735 k and black. Any ideas?

Hi Jamie,

Where did you get the archived level3 data from? NCDC? If so, you need to
convert the file names to something that GEMPAK expects, for example:

$RAD/NIDS/DMX/N0R/N0R_20070420_1900
