Re: [idvdevelopers] IDV netCDF problem, can't be opened with IDV

Maswood --

I was able to view 4.nc by reducing the number of points in the grids
(every 4th point -- although you might be able to use more). The
issue seems directly related to memory. I am using "color filled plan
view" for the display. I have my heap space set at 1200M....which is
about the highest you should go in Windows. I also have disk caching
enabled (not memory caching) for any grids > 1MB in size, and my cache
is large (like 500MB)....although I'm not sure how related this is.

Also, when I display your data -- as soon as the IDV shows the Display
Control panel, I immediately change the "range" of the color bar to
have a minimum of 0. There is apparently a "bogus" value of something
like -10000 which causes the display to not show the "interesting
stuff".

I did not try 5.nc....I got other stuff to do today....

Hope that helps.
