What you are suggesting may be possible, but not really (officially,
at any rate) recommended. The best avenue for this sort of IDV
scripting capability may be Jython and/or ISL. I would suggest
studying the Jython/ISL docs and seeing if your requirements can be
met there. See section 7 from the user guide:
