Gilbert and all,

Our network people did some expected maintenance on our router
between 6 and 6:30 AM CST this morning, which should not have
affected our networking for more than a few minutes. However,
one of the changes apparently was to drop support for the RIP
protocol. The routed program on SGIs uses this to automagically
configure a default route. As a result, ALL of our SGI machines
could no longer contact the outside world.

I've now set a default route by hand and they should be happily
talking to the world again. Please switch back over to sunset and
let me know if any problems continue.

Sorry for the outage,

Pete
