I'm about to. Be running ldm and postgres on a new dual-opteron system. I'll let you know.

However, I'd expect it to "just work" once I learn where _it_ puts things as opposed to Solaris/RedHat/Slackware (the ones I'm currently most familiar with)...

To add fuel to the fire in this discussion, RedHat and SuSe are
now going to be offering educational discounts.

RedHat will be offering academic versions of RedHat WS and ES (basically) for $25 and $50 respectively.

SuSe is offering 40% discounts to academic customers through
a few resellers.
