Re: [ldm-users] LDM & Bandwidth management

I tend to monitor the traffic in and out for a given box. Since I dedicate servers to LDM work, that makes things pretty simple. A tool like MRTG should show you what you want to see.

You can also look on http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/cgi-bin/rtstats/siteindex if your site is reporting to Unidata (I don't know which machine might be yours) to see what it's reporting back to them.

Hello ldm-users. Besides Router QoS and MRTG like stuff, what tools are
available for measuring the bandwidth capacity of LDM or individual
feeds? I reviewed the docs & faqs briefly, but didn't find any obvious
tools or tips. Does LDM have any built in methods of measuring
individual feeds, monitoring or throttling it's bandwidth consumption?
