Re: [ldm-users] Data Feed Issues

Hi Mack, (and NSF downstream sites)

In the last few days, the compute and data distribution nodes we
operate at the NSF have had their effective network bandwidth cut back
significantly. Initially, we were thinking the test was going to be a
shorter duration to help diagnose a problem, but it looks like the
situation might last longer than we had hoped.

The short story is the NSF based systems do not have enough bandwidth
for timely data delivery during CONDUIT peaks for the current number of
feeds. In the interim, sites downstream of the NSF may want to move to
alternate upstream site(s), or idd.unidata.ucar.edu If anyone can
help pick up some of slack, it would be a great service to the community.

Best Regards,

mike
