<snip> SUBJECT: Changes to the NWS Production Suite1. The moratorium on changes to the NCEP Production Suite began after all implementations were made on Tuesday, 22 August and will conclude when the new system becomes operational in January 2007. Any requests for changes to the Production Suite that have not already been scheduled will not be implemented until the moratorium is over. One of the replacement systems (Mist which replaces Blue) has been installed and acceptance testing on it began 15 August. NCO was given access to this system this week to begin its code conversion. Users should have access to the system by late September. More details on the transition schedule will be provided as they become available. 2. Upcoming changes to NCEP's production suite can be viewed at the following website: http://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/changes/ This WEB site contains details on any product or timing changes that are associated with upcoming implementations.
