*Details of the Outage:*On Tuesday Nov 13 at 9:20am EST (14:20 UTC), we will modify the routing on the Public switch at the NWS Telecommunications Gateway (NWSTG Washington, DC). A maintenance period of 20 min is scheduled, but we expect the actual downtime will be less.
_*Affected Traffic:*_All traffic that passes through our Public switch may be affected. Included are remote locations that come across public paths, such as, Internet, Internet2, Silver Spring Campus, SSMC2, NOAANet(e.g., regions, NDBC). Access to all public and private NWSTG servers in Silver Spring and at the BTG across public paths may be affected.
Radar Level 2 data may be affected.*Traffic between directly connected customers and NWSTG will NOT be affected.*
_*Critical Weather: *_If the scheduled date is designated a Critical Weather Day, the outage will be postponed. We apologize for any inconvenience that this outage may cause. Please contact me if the timing of this outage presents a critical problem for your operations. Please forward this message to anyone who will be affected by this action but was left off the mailing list. I would appreciate if you would send me the email address of anyone that should be informed of scheduled downtime in the future, but was not included in the current list. Also, inform me if you wish to have your name removed from this list.
