the Global Ensemble Forecast System (GEFS). The proposed upgrade includes:

The changes include:

    1. Restructure Parm cards to improve code maintenance
    2. Correct tokenizer code to avoid timing issues
3. Perform cold-start every 14 days to avoid contamination in the stratosphere

Near Real-Time Parallel Data

DIR is ndgd_gb2, pgrb2a, pgrb2alr, pgrb2b, pgrb2blr, wafs

There are no major scientific changes in this package. We will make the model output available for 30 days starting Tuesday, 22 July so that end-users of the ensemble data can verify that no unforeseen changes have been introduced.

Any comments on this proposed change will be appreciate. Any feedback
you wish to provide during the evaluation period should be emailed to
NCEP.List.ModelEvalFeedback@xxxxxxxx, prior to 20 August 2008.

Thanks

John
