Details:

Update: We have changed the expected decommissioning date for GSP1 (WWB
GOES-East) and GSP2 (WWB GOES-West) to Friday, August 7, 2009.

Work has been completed on the final phase of the migration from the
SATEPS server environment at the NOAA Science Center/World Weather
Building (WWB) to the NOAA Satellite Operations Facility (NSOF)
Environmental Satellite Processing Center (ESPC). In April 2007, SATEPS
users were notified and instructed to move operational data pulls from
the SATEPS systems to the NSOF systems. Following that notification,
problems were discovered with the new NSOF systems and networks. The
Information Processing Division (IPD) delayed the decommissioning of the
old SATEPS servers until work was completed on new servers and network
devices at NSOF. This work is complete, along with testing and
validation of the new servers. Therefore, ESPC has scheduled the
decommissioning of the old SATEPS servers.

Users pulling data and products from the WWB servers are asked to
re-point to the NSOF servers. Any problems should be reported to
Brian.Hughes@xxxxxxxx or ESPCOperations@xxxxxxxx

** NOTE: These servers do not affect any of the GINI/NOAAPort
processing. All GINI processing was migrated in 2007 **

** NOTE: These servers do not affect any of the products or distribution
on the DDS **
