graphicast product:Public comment period deadline

extended to December 31, 2012

Comment Period extended to December 31, 2012 to solicit

additionaluser feedback on the utility of the Graphicast.

The NWS is requesting user feedback on an experimental Graphicast

productthrough December 31, 2012.The National Hurricane

Center’s (NHC) Tropical Analysis and Forecast Branch (TAFB) is

providingan experimental daily Graphicast of significant marine

weatherfor its offshore and high seas areas of responsibility.

The parameters include:

-Surface (10-m) winds

-Significant wave heights

-Primary swell height, period and direction

-Mean Sea Level Pressure (MSLP) of synoptic scale features

-Fog

-Volcanic ash

-Significant precipitation

This experimental product will be generated by TAFB daily at

approximately0000 Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) and posted to

theNational Hurricane Center website:
