Thanks for that suggestion, Marcos. Both Quantum GIS and Gaia work when
I use version 1.1.1 instead of 1.3.0!--no more blank images and the
default color palettes work splendidly (data values are apparently
scaled to 0-255 by default). So it seems there are possible problems
with the current TDS implementation of WMS 1.3.0...
Anybody know how to tell TDS to use WMS 1.1.1 as the default version for
the meantime? There is mention in the TDS documentation
<http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/projects/THREDDS/tech/tds4.0/reference/WMS.html>
of an OGCMeta.xml file but no documentation on what this can contain.
The default OGCMeta.xml in WEB-INF doesn't have any settings for WMS
version, so maybe this is not possible.
