EDR

EDR starts with the ending valid time for EDR data followed by corresponding
colors for the EDR data over the time limit specified. EDR is broken down by
the following sub-variables.

  End time|height ranges/colors|time limit|edr ranges/colors|symbol blo 180/
    symbol 180+|BegSize/EndSize|aoa180flag
  
The ending time is the latest time for which the EDR data will be plotted.
The end time is given as a GEMPAK date/time string.

The height range and colors may each be specified using a list separated by
semicolons.  Height ranges are in hundreds of feet, separated by a "dash".
The number of height ranges must be the same as the number of colors.  Plotting
is up to the time limit specified in minutes.

The EDR ranges and colors may each be specified using a list separated by
semicolons.  EDR values are specified as real numbers ranging from 0 to 1.0
(units= m^(2/3)sec(-1)). The number of EDR values must be the same as the 
number of colors.

The symbol number section references marker numbers to use for plotting 
significant EDR values greater than the first EDR number threshold.   If two
symbol numbers are specified separated by a slant, the first number is
referenced to plot symbols for EDR values measure below FL180, with the
second number referenced for symbols at or above FL180.  If one symbol number
is specified, it is used for all EDR values above, equal to and below
FL180.

The BegSize is the lower sized threshold for the first significant EDR value
plotted, and should be specified as a real number.  

The EndSize is the upper sized threshold for the last significant EDR value
plotted and is specified as a real number. Intermediary EDR value markers will 
be scaled between the BegSize and EndSize values.

If BegSize and EndSize are omitted, the default marker size for all markers
plotted would be set to 1.0.

The aoa180flag is used to cause gempak to plot EDR values at or above FL180
only.  If set to 1, the EDR values below FL180 will be filtered out.

        Tracking Information and EDR data for 121023/1430 to 121023/1500 will
        be plotted (30 minutes time interval).  Heights of 0 to 45000
        feet with various intermidiate heights will be plotted in colors of
        pink, red, orange, yellow, green, dark green, navy blue, and
        cyan.  EDR value exceeding the threshold values of 0.1, 0.2, 0.3,
        and 0.4 are plotted in colors of blue, light green, orange and red,
        using the symbol marker number 20 (a diamond) for flight
        levels below FL180, and 19 (a square) for flight levels at or above
        FL180. The size of the squares will range from 0.5 up to 2.0 for
        increasing EDR values.  The aoa180flag is set to 0 to insure that
        EDR for all flight levels is reported.
