20000516: Poor GOES-8 data quality

The following message concerning GOES-8 image quality was received from
SSEC Data Center operations:

The GOES-8 data has had several dropouts and image restarts since
1600UTC today, and is particularly poor between 1830-1900UTC (so
far).    The problem is due to a combination of antenna maintenance and
interference at the Wallops Island ground station.  Their maintenance
should be completed by 2300UTC at the latest.  Hopefully the
interference will clear up before that time.
