Yes, we stream real time data to universities and research organizations, and 
daily records would be part of
the text product stream. However, you would need some tools or decoders to make 
use of that data, and we can not feed
commercial organizations.

I did find a nice interface at NCEI(NCDC) that allow one to search for records:

..and a nice daily look from WU is found here:
