20011023: Maximum number of grids

Luis,

The maximum number of grids in a file in our distribution of GEMPAK
is 30,000 (eg MMHDRS defined in $GEMPAK/include).

The number or grids that space will be allocated for is set when the
file is created (eg GDCFIL with MAXGRD, or the -m flag to dcgrib for example).

If you need to reserve more space in a file that is already full,
use gdcfil (with CPYFIL) to create a new file with the appropriate MAXGRD
and then use GDMOD to move the grids from the old file to the new file.
