Correct. The subroutine dvfrnt.f calls the SHR(V) function to compute
the shearing deformation of the vector field you call the FRNT function with.

C*      The result is in units of Kelvin / 100 Kilometers / 3 hours
The units are scaled to the /100km/3hr. The rotation term is unitless.
