[GEMPAK #EGJ-710263]: latest GEMPAK libraries binaries for Mac Intel?

Rob,

Universal binaries will not work for GEMPAK since GEMPAK's fortran code
uses the compile time defined MTMACH name in $GEMPAK/include/MCHPRM.Darwin
to decide on the byte order and word size needed for the application
when reading and writing data and map files. That is, the byte order and word
size for
low level Fortran READ statements is not able to be determined at run time.

I will have to have separate binary distributions for the intel architecture.
At the moment, we do not have an Intel based MAC to build on however, so
I do not have a time frame set for those binaries.
