[GEMPAK #CYW-235722]: gdcross question



Yes, that was the file.  I just wanted to confirm that there's no dcgrib2 PIPE 
command for the nam212.  Your LDM is only filing away the raw grib2 files to a 
directory, not executing the decoder dcgrib2.  You'll need to talk to the 
person who set up the LDM about where the nam212 GEMPAK (*.gem) grid files are 
coming from.  These files should contain a surface elevation grid for each 
forecast time, but the .gem files you're using only have surface elevation for 
the analysis time, and that's why the surface cross-section isn't showing up 
for you.
