Robert,

The impetus for the project was to both facilitate access and
to expand the use of the data sets. Since you would be interested
in a subset, you would want to be on a leaf so you don't have
to have all the data passing through you.

Since we don't have a lot of sites right now, a feed might
be fairly far away. Can you send traceroutes to:
cyclone.atmo.arizona.edu
data3.atmos.uiuc.edu
profhorn.meteor.wisc.edu

From there we can see what kind of routes are possible.

I presume the other information regarding decoding from GRIB was
to your question.
