The web page "How to Get NOAAPORT NEXRAD Data via the LDM" is at

  http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/ldm/feedtypes/howto-nnexrad.html

and describes how to get floater data as well as site-specific data.
Please let us know if there's more information that needs to be
available from this page.

The URL to this page was included in an email message sent to the
ldm-users mailing list on 29 December, 2000,
<http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/glimpse/ldm-users-list/4863> and is also
linked from

 Unidata LDM: <http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/ldm/>
   LDM feedtypes: <http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/ldm/feedtypes/>
     NOAAport NEXRAD:
<http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/ldm/feedtypes/nnexrad.html>
       How to Get NOAAPORT NEXRAD Data via the LDM

but this is admittedly a twisty little maze of links you have to
navigate to get to some important information that should be more
prominently accessible.

If you can suggest where you would look for this information, we'll
put a link to it there. Otherwise, I suggest it be added to the long
list of links on the LDM home page ...

Harry,

After reading Unidata's documentation on the NOAAport NEXRAD floater feed
(FNEXRAD), I'm under the impression that we're supposed to be requesting that
feed from sunny89.atmos.washington.edu (as opposed to the regular NEXRAD product
feed, NEXRAD, which we request from meteora.ucsd.edu). However, I've had ldm
issue the request:

     request    FNEXRAD    sunny89.atmos.washington.edu

and checked to see what might be coming down the pipe using notifyme, with the
following result:

ldm_norte% notifyme -v -l- -h sunny89.atmos.washington.edu -f FNEXRAD
Feb 14 22:29:20 notifyme[25841]: Starting Up: sunny89.atmos.washington.edu:
20010214222920.302 TS_ENDT {{FNEXRAD,  ".*"}}
Feb 14 22:29:21 notifyme[25841]: NOTIFYME(sunny89.atmos.washington.edu): 7:
Authentication error; No match for request

Any idea what is going on?
