My query to Pete:

Was it only the SSEC IP addesses that changed at UW, or was the
Dept. of Meteorology IP numbers changed as well?  It would seem
strange if the Met Dept's IP addresses didn't change when SSEC's
did given that you are all in the same building!

Alan:

Don't forget that you can point to different machines for ADDE access
to all of the data that you get through the IDD.  The Unidata McIDAS-X
7.8 release makes this particularly easy in the revamped MCGUI.

Tom,

At UW-Madison, AOS and SSEC are separate entities, so our network
addresses are totally independent. AOS has been 144.92.130.* and
144.92.131.* since 1990 or so.
