[Staging #NGZ-668874]: RE: Requesting LDM access for FNMOC feed.

Samuel,

The problem connecting to idd.unidata.ucar.edu is that shu1.cup.edu does not
have a reverse DNS lookup;

% nslookup 158.83.1.171
Server:         128.117.140.62
Address:        128.117.140.62#53
** server can't find 171.1.83.158.in-addr.arpa.: NXDOMAIN

and as a result is getting connection denied on our end;

Jun 23 13:22:06 idd rpc.ldmd[2902] NOTE: Denying connection from "158.83.1.171"

You may want to request this DNS issue to be resolved in the near future since
idd.cise-nsf.gov will not continue to feed data to hosts without reverse DNS
over the long run.
