[IDD #DYW-949238]: 20191112: GOES-16 outage from 18:30 to 18:50 UTC today

Hi Carol,

re:
> Anymore news about the outage GOES-16 from last week?

Nope.

As I said in my previous email, I suspect that the outage on the 12th
was caused by the same thing as on the 13th.

The message we received on the 13th contained a statement that (apparently)
explained that outage:

"Date/Time of Initial Impact: Nov 13, 2019 1811Z

 Date/Time of Expected End: Nov 13, 2019 1822Z

Length of the Outage/Event: 0 Hrs 11 Mins

Details/Specifics of Change: GOES-16 ABI L1b All Bands, All Products and
derived products All Scenes delivered to GRB, PDA. Product were affected due to
 the scheduled string failover."

The message we received on the 12th did not contain any reason for the
outage on the 12th:

"Date/Time of Initial Impact: November 12, 2019 1825Z

 Date/Time of Expected End: November 12, 2019 1850Z

Length of the Outage/Event: 25 Mins

Details/Specifics of Change: GOES-16 All Products and derived products All
 Scenes delivered to PDA, GRB."

Cheers,

Tom
