[IDV #OUE-658238]: problem selecting spatial subset of ECMWF grib file

Thanks for the file.  I'm not understanding the problem here.  The
grid goes from 45N 0E (UL) to 5N 65E (LR) with a spacing of .25 degrees
(261x161 pts):

That would put the grid bounding box (blue rectangle) where it shows on 
the screen shot.  You can only subset within that region.
When I try to subset within that box, it seems to work for me with
2.6u2 and 2.7a1.

Can you send me a bundle pointing to that file on your local system
with a grid subset that doesn't work the way you think it should?
