Hi,
    The IDV doesn't have the GUI to view or edit the projection specification, 
however, you can save the display data
into our netCDF file, and then outside the IDV, running the ncdump to get the 
projection information.

In the Dashboard, under Displays tab window, click File > Save > Export Display 
Data to netCDF.
