Stu,
    These two lines of setting apsect ratio is not in your previous isl file, 
adding these two lines and remove the following two lines of setting scale will 
make it working.
I don't know what is the meanning of viewpoint scale, but I don't see it being 
used alone in our example. But you probably don't want to use it here.
