[IDV #LVV-324117]: Layer average RH



The documentation 
(http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idv/docs/userguide/tools/JythonLib.html) 
is decidedly vague, but seems to point at your 1st suggestion. Have you tried 
other functions in that library that may accomplish what you want?
