[IDV #MQG-327327]: capturing to pdf & gif

Greetings Brendon,

If this really is a video card driver issue, I'm not sure if we will be able to 
completely
address it. I'll check into it to see if there is a hack we can do to get 
things to work,
but I'm not hopeful given then number of potential variables that are out of 
our 
control (video card drivers, Java3D, OpenGL, etc.).
