    Yes, IDV is capable of display the trajectory of air from the model output. 
I am currently working on the interface, it should be available soon (a few 
weeks). But, there is formula available in the current release. Under Formulas 
> Grids > Greate 2D/3D Flow Trajectory. Load your dataset first, and then in 
the Field Selector panel, select Formulas > Grids > Greate 3D Flow Trajectory, 
when a new window popup, selct u,v, w, and a scalar variable, and the last 
selection is to select the same scalar variable, but you need to specify the 
level, the initial time and region. If your dataset is big, the calculation 
will take a while. When the new interface is available in a few weeks, it will 
be easier.
