[IDV #ERW-649143]: atmospheric research

Stu,
   Sorry for the delay, there was huge flooding in this area last week and 
things not back to normal yet.
   For the wind shear plot, after you select a flow display and click Create 
Display button, there is a window popup for specifying the top and bottom 
layers, this is what I mean here. For the WRF model, you need to enter the 
value of the sigma layer, such as 0.46 and 0.8, and click ok, now, another  
window popup for you to select u and v. I tried on my machine with some old wrf 
data, and it worked as expected. Let me know if you need more help.
