In the spatial subset panel, the projection is defined by the dataset and can 
not be changed. That means you can not fill the outer limits of the bounding 
box, the only exception is to call the formula to change the dataset longitude 
from +-180 to 0-360 and vice-versa, but this formula can only be used in the 
dataset where the longitude values are cyclic.

Well, this is a perfect example you should upgrade the version of your IDV to 
the latest release. We have a new feature called "Match Display Region", and 
this feature can solve your problem easily. The basic idea is to set the area 
of interested in the view window, and then use "Match Display Region" in the 
region subset panel to do the magic. You can save your bundle in one display 
region and open this bundle in another region by checking the option in the 
popup window.  Try it and let me know your feedback.
