[IDV #QAN-163995]: Atmospheric Science

Hi LinXxia,

According to the information you sent with your initial support request, your
computer has an x86 architecture so your machine is a 32-bit Windows
machine. This fact will limit the amount of memory you can provide to the IDV.

You have a few different options here:

Better subset your data in either time or space.

Increase the amount of memory available to the IDV:
https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idv/docs/userguide/misc/PerformanceTuning.html

Find a computer, preferably with a 64-bit architecture, with greater memory
capacity and use the IDV from that computer.

Best,

Unidata IDV Support
