19990209: ldmadmin won't start



Deb,

verify that rpc.ldmd isn't still running in your process list, then
check to see if port 388 is still in use with:
rpcinfo -p

If the listing shows prognum 300029 still holding on to port 388,
then you will have to free the port with rpcinfo -d as root.
You need the prognum (300029) and the version number (4 or 5 ) from
the previous rpcinfo command-
eg: rpcinfo -d 300029 4

If thats not the problem, let un know at address@hidden
