Upgrading to LDM 5.1.X from an earlier version requires a new queue
to be made because the queue algorithms are different.. Delete the old queue

% ldmadmin startAt this point, the LDM should be running with the new release and
the previous configuration.-------------------------

Good idea. We do have this information in the release notes for the different versions. (See unidata.ucar.edu/packages/ldm/announce/announce-5.1.2.html.) But people would not know about them if they weren't following the announcements at the time. It would be a good idea to put in the installation instructions that people should go read the release notes.
We are planning an overhaul of the LDM web pages. I will put this on the list.
Hope you enjoy our new, improved product queue algorithms! And, don't forget that you don't need pqexpire anymore - we rcommend not using it. See the release notes.
