Apparently the problem we experienced last year when you tried to connect
to our ldm server has not gone away. As you recall, after the initial
connection, I get several RECLASS messages per second. See below.I am copying this to unidata support in hopes we may be able to get this
resolved.But in the meantime, could you send me the line(s) in 'ldmd.conf' where
you REQUEST data from vortex? Maybe we can figure this out. Thanks.Tom

Please shut down ldm until you make this suggested change. You're
filling
up my logs.
OK, DDS and PPS are subsets of UNIDATA, so it makes no sense to have
that
the DDS|PPS line. Comment out the DDS|PPS line and stop, then
start the
ldm. We'll see if that makes a difference.

Hello Tom and Frank,
What was the outcome of your test? The LDM groups requests together based on fully qualified domain name. So, both requests to vortex will be grouped into a single request handled by a single connection. In theory, removing one line should not have made a difference. Did it?
What does the log say on graup1? And, which versions of the LDM are you each running? Tom, are you running pqexpire?
One possibility that would explain all the RECLASS messages is if the clock on graup1 was wrong, causing it to continually request data from the wrong time. But, I guess the times work for the feed from Rutgers to graup1, is that correct?
The only other anomaly I see in what you've sent is that the RECLASS entry in Tom's log looks incomplete - no pattern shows up for the UNIDATA feed. Maybe long lines were simply cut off, or maybe it's not handling the dual entries properly...
