20060103: problem with ldm installation (cont.)

Hi Waldenio,

First, Happy New Year!

Hmm... What are the results of:

<as 'ldm'>
uname -a
hostanme
ping localhost

If the ping command fails, the problem must be related to the
incorrect configuration of the machine's identity.

I may have to get Steve Emmerson involved in this.

What do the permissions on ~ldm/bin/rpc.ldmd (and ~ldm/bin/hupsyslog)
look like? Please send the results of:

<as 'ldm'>
cd ~ldm
ls -alt bin/rpc.ldmd
ls -alt bin/hupsyslog

This does not seem correct to me.

The location of the LDM installation does _not_ make any difference.

Cheers,

Tom
