I'm not sure what you mean by "references that have an AIX 6.1 configuration".

Past versions of the LDM have been built on AIX 5.1, but we haven't had an AIX 
system here for several years, so I don't know about the most recent release.

I'd recommend trying to build the LDM on the AIX system and send me any 
problems you encounter.
