What restrictions? The ingesters that we run do set the feedtype of 
data-products -- but they're set to what they should be. The pqinsert(1) 
utility can be told what feedtype to use.

How are you inserting your data-products into the product-queue?

Also, setting the feedtype of a data-product won't prevent it from being 
redistributed by a downstream site that has an "ALLOW ANY ..." entry in its LDM 
configuration-file.
