Hi Robert,

>We are having a very odd ADDE issue with newpsn.nsbf.nasa.gov

If ADDE access works internally through the remote interface, I would
first assume that the firewall on the Linux box was setup to not allow
McIDAS ADDE traffic from external IPs.

Linux has its own firewall setup that may be blocking access in addition
to whatever organizational firewall that is in place.

Are you sure that there is no firewall installed on the Linux PC? The
thing with RedHat Linux is that the installation process will setup
a firewall unless you tell it not to.

Are we talking about psnldm? If yes, the names/passwords I have are
not valid (I tried).

Cheers,

Tom
