Hi again Greg,
A few things:
- the EUMETSAT ADDE server does _not_ have METEOSAT-7 data
The email I used to contact EUMETSAT User Services to get temporary
access to the ADDE server that has METEOSAT-7 data is:

Way back in December of 2007, I got the following back regarding a
request I had for temporary access to their ADDE server for students
in a McIDAS training course I was putting on at CPTEC (Cacheoira Paulista,
Brazil):
Dear Tom
I am sorry to have to inform you that as the data offered on the ADDE
service is licensed data, for your continued access to the data you
will need to have a license in place with our Legal Department.
As you have been and continue to be heavily involved with the testing
of the service and you represent Unidata, we feel that the best licence
for you would be a manufacturer license.
Can you please complete and fax us a copy of the below form as soon as
possible, our fax number is +49 6151 807 379
http://www.eumetsat.int/idcplg?IdcService=GET_FILE&dDocName=pdf_reg_08_manufacturer&RevisionSelectionMethod=LatestReleased
The license is free of charge and is just a Legal Formality, in section
B2 can you please indicate that the data would be received by ADDE
On the bright side, the license would also cover you for EUMETCast of
you so wish it.

- I found that the NOAA ADDE server of the PUB dataset,
SATEPSANONE.NESDIS.NOAA.GOV,
has some (6-hourly) METEOSAT-7 data:

So, it looks like you need to get access to SATEPSDIST6E.NESDIS.NOAA.GOV.
I just sent off a note to a contact in NOAA to see who you should
contact to get access to SATEPSDIST6E.NESDIS.NOAA.GOV. I will update
you with the information when I get a reply.
