[McIDAS #WVJ-507194]: Status of ADDE.UCAR.EDU

Hi Matthew,

We got a couple of reports by IDV users who were unable to access
satellite imagery from adde.ucar.edu (which is currently pointing
to atm.ucar.edu) late yesterday and this morning (you were the third).
Because we saw some "weirdness" on the machine, we rebooted it. Since
the reboot, I have successfully displayed the most recent 30
GOES-East/West IR composite images, created a plot of North American
temperatures and displayed a meteorogram for KMSN in McIDAS-X.

Can you retry your access attempt(s) and let us know if you are still
experiencing a problem? TIA...

re:
> Can you recommend an alternative ADDE server?

The motherlode class servers we run ADDE on are listed in the
Publically Accessible McIDAS ADDE servers page:

http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/mcidas/adde_servers.html

NB: this page has been reworked since you likely accessed it.

No worries.

Cheers,

Tom
