Re: [Ncwms-users] ncWMS doesn't bring in variables

I have a dataset on our THREDDS server that I can access fine with OPeNDAP clients (like Ferret) but ncWMS isn't bringing in the variables. I ran a CF compliance checker and it came up fine except for a warning about the missing_value attribute being deprecated.
how exactly did you run the CF compliance checker?
The THREDDS URI is:

        http://rocky.umeoce.maine.edu/thredds/dodsC/scs-1/1991-2008

If you put this URL into the CDM valifity checker at:

http://motherlode.ucar.edu:8080/cdmvalidator/validate.html

you will get some more informative messages:

     Summary:

   * No gridded data variables were found.
   * Coordinate Axis latitude does not have an assigned AxisType
   * Coordinate Axis longitude does not have an assigned AxisType

Anyway the problem is that the lat,lon variables must have units of degrees_north, degrees_east respectively. You also need :positive = "down" on your depth variable

Can you modify the file, or use NcML to correct it?

The ncWMS address is:

        http://rocky.umeoce.maine.edu/ncWMS/

You can see the "SCS test" entry but it doesn't have anything in it.

The version of ncWMS that I'm using is RC1 downloaded on Oct. 5.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Steve
