[netCDF #RCQ-405227]: ncgen

Hello,

Can you provide the netCDF file in question? What you're describing shouldn't 
be a problem, so I will need to take a look at the file itself.

I will mention that netCDF version 4.1.1 is quite old; you might try the latest 
version of netCDF, available from https://github.com/Unidata/netcdf-c/releases
