Hi Russ,
We have a few sites that use Solaris or an OpenSolaris derivative
including Solaris on some of our equipment here. I believe all
of Unidata's software suite will work out-of-the-box on a
OpenIndiana platform.
If you are most comfortable with OpenIndiana in your environment,
I'd use that.
